Ropes, Chairs, Blocks, Walls & the Self

B.K.S. Iyengar  modified traditional Hatha Yoga to accommodate the weak, injured, and imperfect body.  He developed systems of ropes, chairs, blocks, and straps to attain the benefits of Hatha, but not injure or further injure the body.   Mary Ashley,  RYT 500, who’s mentor teachers studied in India, and Thailand was taught primarily using Iyengar methodology to augment traditional Hatha Yoga.Mary has practiced Yoga well over 20 years.   Iyengar modifications have brought Mary through torn rotator cuffs in both shoulders, multiple broken bones, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, and recently, a total knee replacement, still going as strong as any 70 year old could hope to be.

Come learn these techniques from someone who knows their benefits.  Any person can do almost any yoga, if you know how to modify.  You will learn how to prevent future injuries, and recover quickly if something does happen.
